As we sat down to eat dinner, I asked my family who wanted to say the blessing. My six year old very enthusiastically said she wanted to. “Dear God,” she began “thank you for my mom and dad, and my sisters, and my teacher, and for all of my pets and all of my friends, and please protect everyone in the world except for hobos. Amen.”
